Jorge Moriya developed a passion and dedication for gastronomy (the practice or art of choosing, cooking, and eating good food) when his father opened Peña, a Peruvian Cuisine restaurant in Lima, Peru.
Over the years he would help in the kitchen on weekdays and weekends. And eventually developed a passion for Peruvian cuisine. His desire to introduce other countries to the best Peru had to offer, eventually led him to migrate to Los Angeles, California in 1982.
“After 22 years, I want to say ‘thank you’ to all our customers who have allowed us to continually serve year after year. I want to give a special thanks to my dear wife. Because without her, all this would not have been possible. And to the general public, thanks for always supporting us.
We look forward to keep serving you all.”
